Planning Holly & Joachim’s wedding was so much fun and the couple were a dream to work with. With only 18 guests, it was a small, intimate affair for family and close friends hosted at a private villa location in Kamala, Phuket.
The location for the wedding was perfect and the wedding party were very happy that the villa matched their expectations both indoors and outdoors too. The villa was situated not too far from the airport but had a remote and peaceful location not far from the beautiful beach.
It was coming to the end of the low season in Phuket (end of Oct). The weather was perfect; maybe helped by reverting to an old Thai tradition to keep the rain away.
The theme was white, simple, elegant and chic with plenty of ambient and atmospheric lighting, creating a really romantic feel. The ceremony was set off nicely with a solo guitarist performing the wedding music. The ring bearer, 15 month old Olivia was too cute and the ceremony itself was absolutely lovely.
A duo of vocals and guitar kept the guests entertained throughout the cocktail hour, and then dinner was served under the stars, hanging lanterns and fairy lights. It really was the perfect intimate Thailand wedding.
The evening was finished off in style with the guests partying until they decided they needed to cool off and the entire party – yep – that included the bride and groom, jumped into the pool.
To sum up in Holly’s words:
